So as many have requested I have set up a blog to document my year in Japan. My flight departs September 17th from San Francisco and I will be arriving in Tokyo at Haneda the night of the 18th. I will then be staying in a hotel and flying out from Narita in Tokyo the following morning and will land in Fukuoka on Kyuu Shuu on the 19th. I will have most of the day to wander around Fukuoka (and plan to) that Monday after I get my hotel. Tuesday morning I depart by bus for Nagasaki where I will meet my host family (Fujiwara) after orientation.
I'll be honest, I've never been one for taking photos or video, though I am a visual person, I am usually too caught up in what I'm seeing to think of going for my camera, but I'll try my best to correct that on this trip. Hope you enjoy what I have to report and can maybe take away a sense of why this country completely captivates me.
